What are Dermal Fillers?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar almost identical to that present in all skin and soft tissue within the body.
Hyaluronic acid has 3 properties:
Results are immediate & continue to improve over a 2 week period – skin is lifted to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and folds. It is also used to enhance definition and volume in the lips and cheeks.
Does the procedure hurt?
We offer FREE topical anaesthetic cream prior to treatment to numb the skin. In addition, we only use Dermal Fillers that contain a local anaesthetic agent – Lidocaine to help make the procedure more comfortable for our clients.
Which areas can be treated?
Are there any side effects?
Here at Rose Aesthetics we only use temporary dermal fillers – this makes the product and procedure a safer alternative to more permanent treatment options.
Most common side effects occur immediately after treatment and consist of redness, swelling and bruising at the site of injection. This is normal and generally resolves within a couple of days.
Serious side effects from injections are very rare – however when we use products there is always a risk of allergy and whenever we break the skin, it carries the risk of infection. Should any side effects occur it is possible for the hyaluronic acid to be dissolved by our advanced practitioner.
Treatment will only be carried out following a thorough medical consultation with our Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Independent Prescriber. This allows side effects to be discussed in detail before treatment is commenced.
* Only FDA approved dermal filler used *
How long will the results last?
Most Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers last between 6-9 months. However, some dermal filler can last up to 12-18 months although you may find that you need further injections again in a shorter time depending on individual characteristics. Overtime your body will break down the dermal filler and its effects will appear to weaken – your skin will then return to its pre-treatment state. We recommend that you visit us 1-2 times per year to ensure we maintain your desired results.
