What are Skin Boosters?
Skin Boosters are an effective skin remodelling treatment designed for individuals with ageing skin that is lacking volume and elasticity.
They stimulate the production of collagen and elastin through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and in doing so significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as increasing hydration and firmness across the face resulting in an overall rejuvenated appearance.
Skin Boosters are an injectable hyaluronic acid based product for treating skin laxity. They contain the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market and not only boost and hydrate the skin, but also remodel the ageing and sagging of tissue.

What are the benefits?
The benefit of skin boosters is that they are not a thick dermal filler, so they can be injected without physically ‘filling’ the face.
They stimulate 4 different types of collagen and elastin, the most important substances when it comes to a youthful, vibrant complexion.
The stimulation of these substances, as well as the application of 2 types of highest-grade HA, offers a rejuvenating, smoothing and toning effect for the skin.

Skin boosters can be used as a very successful stand-alone treatment or can complement other aesthetic treatments.
How do Skin Boosters work?
After injection into the skin, skin boosters start to work immediately.
Their unique structure allows the product to flow freely through the subcutaneous tissue and dermis in the target areas, creating volume evenly over the following 24 to 48 hours.
This gives skin boosters a significant advantage over other filler treatments, as the product doesn’t form into lumps or nodules that need to be massaged to help create the desired result.
The product remains in the skin for about 28 days, in which time it continues to stimulate the production collagen and elastin by slowly releasing the HA.
This creates both a ‘dermal scaffold’ that tightens and lifts the skin, while also boosting skin tissue quality through HA’s hydrating and stimulating action.

Does the procedure hurt?
We apply topical anaesthetic cream prior to treatment to numb the skin, this helps to provide pain relief during the procedure.

Are there any side effects?
Immediately after treatment the treated area can appear slightly red and occasionally there is some mild bruising, swelling and tenderness at the site of injection. This is normal and generally resolves within a couple of days.
Serious side effects from injections are very rare – however when we use products there is always a risk of allergy and whenever we break the skin, it carries the risk of infection.
No recovery time is required – you can return to your daily activities immediately.
Treatment will only be carried out following a thorough medical consultation with our Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Independent Prescriber. This allows side effects to be discussed in detail before treatment is commenced.
How many treatments will I need?
PROFHILO® – for best results we recommend two treatments 4 weeks apart.
SEVENTY HYAL – for best results we recommend three treatments 4 weeks apart.
When will I see results?
The improvements to the quality of your skin, and the lifting and tightening effect, develop subtly over several weeks.
While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 4 weeks after the second treatment.
After 10-12 weeks, your skin will also appear more hydrated, healthy and youthful.
How long will the results last?
The improvements to the firmness, elasticity and overall quality of your skin should last up to 6-12 months.
